It is 2020. Everyone uses smart phones, tablets and who knows what other mobile devices. Which is great, as when we send an invite via email, many people can see them no matter where they are, at any time! And when we send text or phone reminders, people can also get them very easily!
Many of our studies work on mobile devices. I think they all should. But they don’t. Some surveys are a bit complicated, with sliding scales and lots of things to see on the screen. So, the survey sponsors have decided that they shouldn’t be done on mobile devices, only on computers or laptops.
We have encouraged the sponsors to make every survey work on mobile devices, but until they do, please, read the instructions that you receive in the survey invite. If it says no mobile devices, please wait until you are on your computer to complete. You might want to send yourself a reminder to check your computer when you are home. That way you won’t miss out of the study!
