I joined General Mills in Minneapolis fresh out of graduate school in 1983. As a history buff, I was interested in the company history. You may know it for Cheerios, Wheaties, and Betty Crocker. In the early days its primary product was Gold Medal flour. In 1907 the slogan, “Eventually . . . Why Not Now?” was created and was used through the 1950’s. The idea was that Gold Medal was of superior quality, you’ll eventually use it, why not now? The slogan caught on and became a catchphrase used by everyone, similar to Wendy’s Where’s The Beef? in the 1980’s or Nike’s Just Do It.
Why am I thinking of this? Rare Patient Voice should use that phrase – eventually, why not now? Many clients come to us after they’ve tried recruiting with other companies. Especially when they want hard-to-reach patients or caregivers and the recruiter they used just can’t find them. So, they come to us in a panic, are very short on time, and hope we can help them. And we can, since we’ve already recruited the patients to join our panel, we can get them in just a few days! I want to say, eventually you will need to come to us, why not come to us first? Eventually, Why Not Now?
