“Hi! I’m Grace. I’m 23 and a warrior. I was diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos, a connective tissue disorder caused by defects in a protein called collagen which affects more than 80% of my body.
This affects my joints to be loose and dislocate and sub-locate very easily. I deal with joint pain and clicking joints constantly, fatigue, bruising easily, digestive issues. It has also caused other issues which we are continuing to fine, i.e.: multilevel Schmorl’s nodes, levoscoliosis, bone spurs, facet joint arthritis, chronic migraines, MTHFR gene mutation, Mast cell activation syndrome, alongside mental health problems. I’m so thankful that I’ve finally found a few doctors who are understanding of my diagnoses and are willing to help me find more answers.
Every day is a struggle but most importantly a blessing and I’m so thankful to share my story.”
