People living with a disease or caring for a loved one who does really do become front line experts. There is significant value in patients and caregivers sharing their experiences with industry and researchers.
Last month, RPV’s Pam Cusick took part in a DTC Perspectives/Xpectives Health Virtual Forum with DTC Chairman Robert Ehrlich “The Power of the Patient Voice,” and was joined by Kathryn Ticknor Robinson, head of research for inVibe Labs, and patient advocate and industry veteran Julie Hinton. The discussion touched on how pharma and healthcare marketers are actively seeking the opinions and experiences of patients and caregivers, how new linguistic technologies can help mine further meaning from that feedback, and why sharing their voices is important to people whose lives are impacted by rare and non-rare diseases.
