Over $7 Million Awarded to Patients and Caregivers Since 2013
Towson, MD--July 7, 2021 Rare Patient Voice LLC (RPV), the leader in patient-focused recruiting, today announced that it has reached a major milestone in compensating participants for their feedback and input. Since its founding in 2013, the company has now awarded over $7 million to patients and caregivers who have taken part in surveys, interviews, research studies, trials, and more.
“When I first launched Rare Patient Voice, the main goal was to help rare disease patients share their insights with the researchers developing products and services to improve their lives. Rewarding them for their participation was a natural part of the equation,” said Wes Michael, President and Founder of Rare Patient Voice. “Never did I dream that eight years later, we would have awarded them over $7 million in payments for their participation. Helping to share the voices of patients and caregivers, and compensating them for their time, are the cornerstones of Rare Patient Voice, and this makes me extremely proud.”
Since being established, RPV has grown to employ over 35 full and part time staffers and completed 5,000 projects and counting. Its panel has expanded to include over 100,000 patients and caregivers of both rare and non-rare diseases and conditions. A partnership with Clinakos now enables insights from patients to be combined with their medical and behavioral profile to provide a complete and accurate picture of the patient journey, creating value for both patients and life sciences companies. In late 2020, RPV announced its expansion from the United States and Canada to the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Germany, and France.
