As of January 1, 2023, for new studies the honorarium for patients and family caregivers is $120 per hour (typically).
We started working with WhatNext not long after I founded Rare Patient Voice in 2013. If you’re not familiar with WhatNext, please take a look, whatnext.com. It is a great site for cancer patients and caregivers. A place to share your experiences and ask questions, all confidentially. Learn from what other cancer patients have gone through, it might help you also.
We invite WhatNext patients and caregivers to take part in Rare Patient Voice surveys. You get to voice your opinions on your experiences and react to new treatments in development. All from the comfort of your home through online surveys and telephone and webcam interviews. And you get rewarded for it! We pay patients at the rate of $100 per hour. We’ve paid WhatNext patients and caregivers over $2 million since we’ve started offering the surveys.
Best of all, your confidential information is never shared. Clients only have an ID code, not your name.
And each survey you do also helps WhatNext! Through our partnership, WhatNext has earned over $870,000, to help them maintain and update their terrific service. Thanks in particular to David Wasilewski, who founded WhatNext, and Greg Pierce, a multi-time cancer survivor who does the work every day to make WhatNext a friend to all cancer patients and caregivers.
