A seasoned marketing and communications professional with a background that spans the rare disease, nonprofit, and book publishing spaces, Laura Mullen joined Rare Patient Voice in 2021 and currently serves as Director of Marketing and Communications. She earned a BA in English Literature from Queens College of the City University of New York and worked at a NYC market research firm part-time as an undergraduate. At RPV, her focus is on promoting the company and fostering industry recognition through a variety of communications vehicles including advertising, social media, awards, newsletters, press releases, webinars, videos, and media interviews. Helping patients and caregivers be heard is a labor of love for this marketing pro.
“Patients and their loved ones are frontline experts on the diseases affecting their lives. Their opinions and experiences are valuable and need to be heard by researchers and companies developing new products and services. I’m proud of working for a company that makes that connection a reality and always puts patients and family caregivers first.”
In her off hours, Laura loves reading, cooking, keeping up with pop culture, and playing Rummy 500. She tries but turning off her copy editing brain is a work in progress.
