Helping patients and caregivers share their voices

Get to know Intellus Worldwide

August 26, 2019 Wes Michael

Hi, you might know me as Wes Michael of Rare Patient Voice. But today I wanted to talk about an organization that I am passionate about, Intellus Worldwide. Intellus is a professional organization for those in the market research, insights, and data analysis fields in all aspects of healthcare. I first came in contact with its precursor organizations, PMRG and PBIRG. I remember first going to a PMRG annual meeting and thinking – what a great group of people, I want to be part of this. And that continues to be the key driver of being a part of this group – the people. They are from manufacturers and market research agencies, so many might be considered competitors, but you’d never know it by the collegial feel and the great cooperation among members.

I think when many people think of Intellus (or as they did with PMRG and PBIRG) they think only of the annual conference. And that conference, the Summit, is terrific, a great place to learn a lot of new things and meet a lot of new people and companies. But Intellus is a lot more than the Summit. It is a year-round organization, with great resources – a learning center, job board and a directory of other members, to name just a few. So, you are never alone – there are others who may have struggled with the same challenges that you face, who are eager to help!

There are regional meetings – we have some coming up in Chicago and New Jersey soon. And many volunteer opportunities. What a great way to meet colleagues in the industry. From health literacy, research certification, and a group dedicated to young professionals.

Take a look and join! Go to intellus.org. Or message me with any questions you have!
